Karan Razdan’s ‘Souten - The Other Woman’ is releasing this Friday which will portray Mahima Chaudhary as an evil stepmother. The director boasts that ‘Souten’ will be laced with lots of steamy scenes and will do well at the box office.

The film focuses on Raj (Vikram Singh), who is in love with Sapna (Kiran Rathod). Sapna’s jealous stepmother Mitali (Mahima Choudhary) cannot bear the fact that her stepdaughter is getting attention from a young man because she is stuck with the middle-aged Thakur Ranbeer Singh.

Dissatisfied and frustrated, Mitali causes trouble for Sapna by seducing her boyfriend. Smita (Padmini Kolhapure), who is married to Raj’s elder brother Sumer Singh (Shakti Kapoor), tries to put the story on the moral track.

There were rumours making round that Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has been sighed for a film which will also star Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt. Instead Shilpa is feeling low as she only has few offers with filmmakers here.

When asked about her working with Pitt, a surprised Shilpa who is just back from Kerala after performing at an award function said, “This is not true at all. Where do these stories crop up from?”

Laughingly she dismissed such gossips, “Me and Brad Pitt? Wish it were true! At the moment I am just lying low. Yes, there has been a couple of offers, but only from filmmakers here. I am going to zero in on a script soon. I wish to clarify once again that I have not signed any international venture.” (more…)

Karan Razdan who has directed Girlfriend (created much furor because of its controversial topic) has three films lined for March release. The films, Souten - The Other Woman, Umar and Eight will release simultaneously and this is what he has to say about it.

Aren't you anxious that all three of your films are releasing simultaneously in March?
How I wish I could control the release of my films! I started all the films almost six months back. I must confess I am lucky to have three films one after the other. Let us see how audience reacts to them. This is indeed a rare phenomenon in Bollywood but I am game for it. (more…)
