Pyare Mohan - comedy with a difference

Director Indra Kumar who has tickled viewers with his previous works like Dil and Masti has come up with new laughathon - Pyare Mohan which is about two disabled friends who wins over their handicap to save their love ladies from a difficult situation along with fun and comedy. Obviously the film wanted to give a message that even disable people can face life happily and courageously. So Indra Kumar made an amusing movie with a serious tone to it. The director’s intentions were beautiful but the outcome is somewhat confusing.

pyare-mohan

The good news is that Pyare Mohan has good dose of comedy to make you dizzy but the bad news is it also becomes serious at times to actually make you feel guilty that you are laughing at their disability. It seems like the director was himself confused weather to handle the issue with humor or with concern.

Story:
pyare-mohan Pyare Mohan (Fardeen Khan, Viveik Oberoi) are two friends who use to be stuntmen in a film company initially but having met with an accident on the sets, Pyare loses his vision while Mohan goes deaf. Alone, they are like any other disable person who get into mess from time to time but together, they are tough spoons who compliment each other in their needs. Pyare becomes Mohan ears and Mohan becomes Pyare’s eyes. This way they are living their life happily. They own a gift shop and they sell love cards. They might be happy but both of them yearn for a girlfriend who understand them and love them genuinely. (more…)

Homely girl Amrita Rao now ready to expose

Amrita Rao who earlier had qualms about exposing says she is now ready to expose her petite figure, if the script demands it. The actress who has really grown up after eight-films will be stopped called Plain Jane soon.

Amrita is excited about her new film titled 'Vivah' opposite Shahid Kapoor.

It is a different kind of film. ‘Vivah’ means marriage. It depicts that marriage is not only a function but also an important part of social life. It also gives out the message that it is a continuous relationship between two individuals. I play the role of a girl from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh while Shaahid Kapoor plays a youth from Delhi. Both get married in the film.

Are you comfortable with your current image as a cool and homely girl?

I am happy but I have a surprise package in store. Now, I am ready to expose. But I am not going to sensationalize and reach out for success through it. I am not averse to exposing if the script really demands it. (more…)
