“Shaapit” is expected to be another horror from the makers of “Raaz” but the movie has something more to offer than just the masked scary images. The movie’s story is about a boy Aman who proposes to his girlfriend Kaaya to get into a series of troubles. As Kaaya wears the engagement ring, she and Aman get into a car accident .

Aman finds from Kaaya’s parents that their family has been given a curse by the Brahmin, some three hundred years ago, and no daughters can be married due to the curse.

Movie review: Lahore

The film “Lahore” got many international and national awards for showing sports and realization of hope. The movie shows the bond between two brothers, who want to win for the country and they love their game. The story starts with the initial scenes of procedure of selection of a sports team that is going to represent India in an international event. The corruption and political agendas linked to the team’s selection, justifies the performance of Indian team in international event. The coach Rao (Farooque Shaikh) is a good man and Dhirendra Singh (Sushant Singh) wants to win on his performance.
Then, the movie goes to an international event in Kuala Lumpur, where Dhirendra Singh of India fights in a kickboxing game against Noor Mohammad of Pakistan and Dhirendra loses the game as the rules are broken and the opponent shows poor sportsmanship.

Asin gets invitation for Lawrence Bender movie premier

Asin was invited to the premier of the film “Countdown to Zero,” a movie which has been made by Lawrence Bender who is known for producing Reservoir Dogs and the Inglorious Bastards, which won Oscar .The screening of the movie was held in Mumbai and it showed how the making of Atom Bomb started a race and now, nine countries across the globe posses nuclear weapon.

Another version of “Vande Mataram”

The new age Vande Matram is expected to be written by poet Gulzar. The music composer Wayne Sharpe, who did composition for Prakash Jha’s films “Gangaajal” and “Apaharan” is composing the music for the film “Rajneeti” and the film will have another version of “Vande Matram. “Wayne met Jha during the making of “Gangaajal” through a mutual friend.

Shahrukh Khan gets the Global Entertainment Award

Shahrukh Khan received the Global Entertainment award given by FICCI Frames for the year 2010. A. R. Rehamn got the Global Icon award, and Best Actor and Best Actress awards were given to Amitabh Bachchan and Vidhya Balan, respectively, for their roles in film “Paa.” For “3 Idiots” Raju Hirani got the Best Director and Best Film award.

Kareena says “Nephew looks like Karishma”

The new entry into Karishma’s family has been named “Kiaan.” Karishma had given birth to a baby boy a few days back and Kareena said she was excited to hear the news as she and Saif both were at the hospital as the baby took birth. She said Imtiaaz’s next has Ranbir in lead role and she was contacted for the role, but she and Ranbir are a family, and they cannot be romantically paired up in the movie.
