A movie on Mumbai Terror Attack called ‘Total Ten’

When the Mumbai City suffered militant attacks many opposed the idea to have a movie on the cruel incidence but movie makers had been registering names to make movie on the attacks and finally a movie ‘Total Ten’ is being shot on location in Mumbai. The film is produced by Hari Om Sharam, Kumar and Anand Pandrey and it will be made from a budget of Rs 3 crores.

The film will depict the journey of a man named Kasab, who goes from Pakistan to India on a mission to attack the city Mumbai and the he is arrested by the Mumbai Police to suffer a trial in court. The lead roles in the movie are played by Sudesh Berry, Homi Wadia, Ashok Kulkarni and Ashish Vidyarthi. Theses four men play the role of police men Vijay Salaskar, Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kulkarni and Tukaram Ombale. All these four men were killed fighting militants in the Mumbai terror attacks 26 /11.

An actor Rajan Verma plays the role of Ajmal Amir Kasab, who is the lone terrorist who survived after the attacks and he was taken into custody by the police. The film is about ten police men who were given bravery awards for fighting these militants and hence it is named ‘Total Ten’. The policemen were given Ashok Chakra by Indian government for their role during the attacks.

The movie makers also try to send a message that the main arm of terror factories running across the world is the youth power and if youngsters stop getting involved in these activities, the basic need of the terror factories will not be met. The units that are churning hundreds of militants every year will stop operating. The movie is aimed to bring about a change in youth’s attitude towards militancy.
